Class Enrollment and Virtual Courses

December 18, 2019

Policy update for High School Student Handbook

This amendment will be made to student handbook in December of 2019 to address the Virtual course issues that will be in effect starting January 2020.  We will have an application process and guidelines to use on an individual basis to help make an informed decision and determine whether or not a virtual course(s) is in an individual student’s best educational interest.

Class Enrollment and Virtual Courses

Starting in January of 2020, the first three days of the semester will be open enrollment dates.  This process will coincide with the regular class enrollment dates determined by the school calendar adopted by the Board of Education.  The student and parent must fill out an application and turn it into the counseling office during this enrollment period for virtual classes to be approved by the administration.  Guidelines have been set by the district and are available for students and parents.
